  The Last Presidential Fedora



Here we see Ike and JFK at the presidential retreat in Camp David, Maryland. Ike has been called to advise the president during the Cuban missile crisis. Ike was the last president to wear a fedora, and after his presidency, hats on men disappeared almost completely from American life.

They are actually discussing the failed invasion/revolution at the bay of Pigs in Cuba, the missile crises had not started yet ~ Thanks
 
The hat Ike has in his hand is not a "fedora". It is the Open Road model Stetson, the same hat that Harry Truman and LBJ favored. So the statement is twice incorrect: the hat is not properly a fedora and Ike was not the last president to wear this type of hat.
